Floral calendar

The symbol of Dębno has been a plant calendar for several decades. It informs residents and visitors of the current date.

It was established in the 1960s. The originator was Józef Wachowski, a gardener and resident of Dębno who used to work for the Municipal Services Company.

There are about 5600 plants planted on it. All elements of the calendar are placed on a special pedestal in such a way that they are visible and clear.

The silver-green letters and numbers that make up its content are a composition of cypress santolina. The red-brown-green background is an alluring alternatera. The triangular sides of the date palm are a green carpet of mesene, and the ornamental details are made up of herbaceous and Mexican ginseng.

Small and large specimens of agaves and begonias are also used in the plant arrangements for an interesting visual effect. A ribbon bed is a set of dahlias and ashwagandha.
