Elementary School of Władysław St. Reymont in Cychry

The elementary school in Cychry started its educational activities in 1945. Initially classes were held in a building belonging to the Forestry Board. From there, the school was soon moved to a building in the centre of the village, which, however, burnt down in 1947. The classrooms were then adapted in the building of the present-day vicarage.

In the second half of the 1950s, the school acquired a two-storey building in the centre of the village. The school later played an additional role in addition to its teaching and educational activities - it helped poor children and their families. The pupils and their teachers helped the elderly, the lonely or the sick with housework and field work.
