On 12.10.1972, on the anniversary of the Battle of Lenino, in the war cemetery of Russians and Poles, the ‘Brotherhood of Arms’ monument designed by Sławomir Lewiński was unveiled. Earlier, shortly after the Second World War, the corpses of soldiers, victims of the war, 687 Polish and Soviet soldiers from the area of Mysliborz and its surroundings, were exhumed. They were buried there, in the Heroes' Cemetery, established on the western slope of the mountain. Among those exhumed, in addition to Polish and Soviet soldiers, were Czech, French and Yugoslavian ‘prisoners of war’.
