Cedynia Heath

Near Osinowo Dolne, on the route to Cedynia, there is an area that is particularly worth a visit in late August and early September. The Cedynia Heath Nature Reserve named after Władysław Czyżewski, who for many years (1955-1985) was head of the Forestry Commission in the area, greets visitors with the extraordinary colours of the thousands of shrubs growing on the hills. The reserve which protects dry heathland, thermophilic psammophilic vegetation and xerothermic vegetation, is located in the hills of the Cedynia Carpathians and covers an area of just over 72 ha of sand dunes.
